A Passion Denied

Set in Boston the "Roaring Twenties" A Passion Denied is the third in The Daughters of Boston series by Julie Lessman. I am fascinated with early twentieth century history so I was really looking forward to reading this novel. It is a pretty thick book (475 pages) and the first half was so slow moving that I nearly gave up on it without finishing it. I'm glad I stuck with it, because the last half of the story was much more intriguing.
